Recormon Injection contains the active ingredient epoetin beta, a recombinant form of the natural hormone erythropoietin, 

which stimulates the bone marrow to produce red blood cells. It is indicated for the treatment of anemia associated with chronic kidney disease (with or without dialysis),

 anemia induced by chemotherapy, and situations where autologous blood donation is planned. 

Uses

Treatment of anemia in chronic renal failure (kidney disease) patients.

Management of chemotherapy-induced anemia in cancer patients.

In some protocols, used to reduce the need for allogeneic blood transfusion, particularly before surgery or for blood donation planning.

Dosage & Administration

Administer subcutaneously (under the skin) or intravenously (IV) as per doctor’s prescription.

Initial dose typically begins at 50 to 100 IU/kg body weight, three times per week for anemia due to kidney disease.

After hemoglobin levels rise and stabilize, dose may be reduced to the lowest effective amount to maintain target hemoglobin.

Store at 2°C-8°C, protect from light, do not freeze; follow instructions for pre-filled syringe handling.
