Dextromethorphan acts on the cough center in the brain to reduce the urge to cough without causing heavy drowsiness.

Dosage:

• Adults: 1–2 teaspoons (5–10 ml) 2–3 times daily

• Children: As advised by a doctor

• Shake well before use

Common Side Effects:

Dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, stomach upset, mild headache.

Drug Interactions:

MAO inhibitors, sedatives, alcohol, other cough suppressants, certain antidepressants.
